    Release continuous, Oct 19, 2026 (a pre-release)

    How to play
    1. Get it only from the project's continuous release (the testing build): its README warns that other builds and repacks often carry malware.
    2. Copy its files to a folder of their own.
    3. Copy the valve folder of your own Half-Life, as sold on Steam, beside them: every game resource is there.
    4. On a processor that is not x86, or with the 64-bit engine, the game code may need building from the project's Half-Life SDK fork; the valve folder is still needed.
    5. Run xash3d.exe or the AppImage; its -help option lists the others.
    6. On Android, install the APK, copy your valve folder into a folder named xash in the internal storage, and start games from the app.
